May 4-10, 2025, is AWWA Drinking Water Week
Make plans now to recognize the essential workers who bring us water each and every day. This annual observance led by the American Water Works Association (AWWA) serves to highlight the importance of healthy drinking water and recognize the tireless efforts of water professionals who keep it flowing around the clock in our communities.
Spread the word by recognizing your team of professionals during Drinking Water Week and share the valuable work you do each and every day with your community.
VBC is marking Drinking Water Week by working with our members to increase understanding of the vital role of clean, safe water in daily life, including its importance for public health and environmental protection.
To celebrate the week, water utilities, water organizations, government entities, environmental advocates, schools, and others throughout North America will help children and consumers of all ages understand how water is protected, cleaned, and delivered throughout their communities. Water utilities and others mark the occasion by hosting engaging events like educational fairs, contests, facility tours, interactive demonstrations and more.
We extend our thanks to all who work in the industry and highlight the vital role of water in our daily lives.
